With a beefed-up frame, relocated axles, 18-inch wheels with knobby 35-inch Goodyear custom all-terrain tires and a game-changing suspension, the 2021 TRX is “as capable of scrabbling up rocks and soaring over dunes as it is loafing through traffic on the freeway,” says Motortrend.

The TRX sports the Hellcat engine, a supercharged 6.2-liter Hemi V-8 with 702 horsepower and 650 lb-ft of torque, notes a Car and Driver review. It went from 0 to 60 miles per hour in just 3.7 seconds and is “surprisingly refined and easy to handle on paved roads” as well as being “meant to play in the mud, rocks, and sand too.”

With a maximum towing capacity of 8100 pounds, the 2021 TRX offers plenty of muscle, and can carry up to 1310 pound of payload, says Car and Driver.

Inside, Ram’s rich-looking materials and “impeccable” insulation from outside noise offers a level of luxury and refinement. The base model includes cloth upholstery and standard equipment based on the Ram 1500 Rebel, says the Car and Driver review. And the optional TR1 and TR2 packages offer leather-covered surfaces. Other add-ons include a digital rearview mirror, a head-up display and heated and ventilated front seats.

Ram didn’t skimp on technology features for the 2021 TRX. Every model houses a 12.0-inch touchscreen infotainment session with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, built-in navigation and SiriusXM satellite radio. A 900-watt, 19-speaker Harman Kardon sound system can be added too.

Available safety features include lane-departure warning and lane-keeping assist, blind-spot monitoring and adaptive cruise control. Another add-on is a trailer hookup assist tool. With a full slate of comfort and technology features and enough muscle for towing, the 2021 TRX offers a worthy option. Test drive one soon at Earnhardt Auto Centers!
