Recycle Your Bicycle at any Earnhardt Auto Centers location through September 30

Written by

Do you have a gently used bike taking up space in your garage? Earnhardt Auto Centers is again a presenting sponsor for this year’s Recycle Your Bicycle drive. Donate your used bicycle at any Earnhardt Auto Centers location in Arizona or Nevada.

Earnhardt Auto Centers Accepting Bicycle Donations

Volunteers refurbish the bicycles, which are given to foster kids through the Arizona Association for Foster and Adoptive Parents during the upcoming holiday season. They’ll take all kinds of bicycles, from trikes to mountain bikes, three-wheelers or training wheel models. You can donate a new bicycle too. They also welcome cash donations, which help fund materials like tubes, tires, new seats and cleaning supplies. The only thing they can’t fix is rust. Receipts are available for all donations.

You can also volunteer your time on a Saturday morning to help refurbish bicycles. Visit the Volunteer Information page to learn more. Give some time and bring a smile to the face of a foster child!

Many kids in foster care never get their own bicycle, but they can through this program. Bring your used or new bike to any Earnhardt Auto Centers dealership near you! Earnhardt locations will accept donations through September 30. You can also make cash donations online at the Arizona Association for Foster and Adoptive Parents website.

A longtime fixture in the Valley, Earnhardt Auto Centers now has 21 dealerships representing 17 brands, with several spots in the Valley and locations in Prescott Valley and Las Vegas. Earnhardt Auto Centers employees are encouraged to donate time and money to local charities, and Earnhardt offers a regular payroll deduction service for those who choose to donate funds.

Next time you’re in the market for a new or used vehicle, check out the “No Bull” approach that made Earnhardt Auto Centers a household name!

Carolyn Sostrom

Carolyn Sostrom is a long-time Arizona resident who loves desert sunsets, warm weather, Zumba, and the Western lifestyle. She attended Saguaro High School in Scottsdale and then Arizona State University, earning a bachelor’s degree in journalism. Similarly to the protagonist in *The Devil Wears Prada*, Carolyn moved to New York City right after college. She started working for the fashion magazine company Conde Nast but never transitioned to the dark side. After a few years, she left New York in the rearview mirror and returned to her home state, taking a reporter job at the *Apache Junction Independent*. With over 30 years of freelance writing experience, Carolyn especially enjoys writing about community events and profiling individuals who are making a difference in their communities. She had the pleasure of interviewing a variety of cowboy personalities for an article she wrote for the *Scottsdale Independent* about the history of DC Ranch and its roots as a working ranch. Now, her Western adventures with CLN have her diving into the rugged automotive scene, exploring the trucks and rigs cowboys rely on for work, home, and play, a niche where grit meets horsepower. She works at Raising Special Kids, a nonprofit resource center for families of children with disabilities and special healthcare needs. Carolyn also volunteers with the Autism Society of Greater Phoenix. Carolyn believes that everyone has a story, and she loves connecting with others to hear their stories. She’s dedicated to ethical journalism and accurate reporting, which shines through in her storytelling.
