Redding Rodeo Church: Where Faith Meets the Arena

Imagine this.

The dust settles, Saturday night comes to a close, and the arena goes quiet. But something more is waiting.

Sunday night brings something different. Redding Rodeo Church, where rodeo and western lifestyle are not just part of the culture, they are the foundation. Local churches come together with one shared goal. Reaching people who might never feel comfortable walking through traditional church doors.

Right here in Redding, California, it is a reminder that faith is not meant to be distant or complicated. It is meant to be lived out in real places, among real people, centered on the goodness of Jesus and the invitation He offers to all.

That is Redding Rodeo Church.

Last year marked the very first Redding Rodeo Church. And if we are being honest, there was no way to know what to expect. You can plan. You can hope. But you never really know.

What happened instead was something incredible.

More than 6,000 people showed up. Standing room only. The arena was full, and in that moment, it became clear that Redding Rodeo Church is here to stay.

The evening was headlined by Todd Pierce, a former professional bareback rider who now travels the country sharing the message of Jesus through horsemanship. Working with untrained horses, he creates a powerful, living picture of patience, trust, and redemption.

When he stepped into the arena, everything shifted.

The crowd quieted. Attention locked in. Watching an unbroken horse begin to trust right there in the dirt spoke louder than words ever could. No explanation needed. And the crowd felt it.

As the night continued, local churches stepped in together, unified and ready. Volunteers were present to talk, to pray, and to walk alongside anyone ready to take a next step in their faith.

This was never meant to be just a one-night moment.

The heart behind Redding Rodeo Church is connection. Real community. Real relationships. Helping people find a place within local churches throughout the Redding area.

And now, it is happening again.

Redding Rodeo Church returns this year, bringing back Todd Pierce and introducing something new. A live concert from Chad Bushnell. Music that fits the setting. Country. Honest. Familiar. Built for the arena, while still pointing people toward something deeper.

The entire night is free by design. No cost. No barriers. Just an open invitation to come back on Sunday and bring someone with you.

This is for everyone.
For the one who has not been to church in years.
For the one who has never gone.
For the one who is not sure they belong.

This is simply a space where God is at the center and people mean that.

So when the rodeo wraps up on Saturday night, do not let it be the end of your weekend.

Come back Sunday.
