Get your spurs on and saddle up for The American, the most popular rodeo put on by RFDTV in Arlington, Texas. You could land your share of $1,000,000 in the semi-finals, or the grand prize of $2,000,000. To just be witness to the amazing camaraderie and athleticism of these cowboys and cowgirls February 19th at AT&T Stadium is also a treat, especially if you’ve never been to a rodeo before!
While the main event is on the 19th, it’s a 4-day event so you have plenty of chances to join in the fun. People come from all over the country for this spectacular show. So, dust off your cowboy or cowgirl hat and have a reason to show off your new boots. Just witnessing these amazing bulls and horses is a treat.
What Will Year 4 Hold?
This is the 4th year for The American, a popular rodeo event. You can get tickets for one day or all four of the fun which features:

  • Barrel Racing
  • Steer Roping
  • Bull Riding
  • Bareback Riding
  • Saddle Bronc Riding
  • Tie-Down Roping

Thankfully, excellent coverage of The American will be provided by Cowboy Lifestyle Network, Ak-Chin Indian Community, Earnhardt Auto Centers and Papa John’s Pizza Road Team who all do a great job for this RFDTV sponsored rodeo event. Texas “brings it” every year!

You obviously don’t have to be super-knowledgeable about the show to have a blast. Of course, for those that are experienced fans, The American has recently announced the top 10 invitees for its huge and widely popular event.
RFDTV reports the names in every event on their website so you can see if your favorite will be there. Being the richest rodeo in Texas, chances are you’ll see them! If you aren’t following anyone, or it’s your first trip to the event expect to leave in awe. It’s near impossible not to be impressed with several of these experts!

Last Year, Richmond Champion won in bareback; Kaleb Driggers and Patrick Smith won team roping; Hunter Cure won steer wrestling with a time of 3.75 seconds; Wade Sundell won saddle bronc; Tyson Durfey won tie down roping; Lisa Lockhart won barrel racing; and J.B. Mauney won bull riding.
So, don’t wait to get tickets and have a blast at the biggest and best of Texas!
