If immersing yourself in thrilling rodeo action and rich Southwestern heritage sounds right up your alley, then we’ve got just the event for you! Rodeo de Santa Fe, taking place June 19-21, showcases top-tier rodeo action, featuring not only professional rodeo competition but family-friendly attractions such as mutton bustin’ and youth barrel racing. After drawing nearly 500 contestants in 2024, this year’s event promises to continue its tradition of excellence. Rodeo de Santa Fe is a must-see for both locals and visitors alike!
June 18 – June 21, 2025
3237 Rodeo Rd
Santa Fe, New Mexico 87507
The Rodeo de Santa Fe began in 1949 when Roy Butler, Austin “Slim” Green, Gene Petchesky, Paul Ragle, Paul Rutledge and few others had a dream and determination to organize a professional rodeo in Santa Fe, NM. This dream exceeded their ambitious expectations and today remains one of the top 60 PRCA Rodeos in the nation.
“It’s a great place to be. I’ve had the enjoyment of growing up there, going there every year I’ve been alive when my dad had the rodeo here, and then I carried on after he hasn’t been. It’s the people that are great”
Kirsten Vold
Co-Owner of Vold Rodeo
Gates open at 5:00 PM, mutton bustin’ at 6:30 PM, grand entry at 7:00 PM
“Santa Fe, New Mexico is a beautiful town rich in culture and the cowboy lifestyle. The rodeo committee has done an incredible job over the years, creating a top-notch event that keeps people coming back year after year.”

One of my favorite aspects of the rodeo community is everyone’s desire to come together for a heartwarming cause like the Exceptional Rodeo. Hosted by Rodeo de Santa Fe, the event is designed to offer children and adults with physical and mental exceptionalities a chance to experience the thrill of rodeo in a supportive, fun environment. Participants enjoy a variety of simulated rodeo events including riding a “bucking barrel”, roping hay bales, stick horse races, and much more!
The 2025 Exceptional Rodeo is scheduled for Saturday, June 21st, from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm, with registration beginning at 9 a.m.
If you’ve never been to Rodeo de Santa Fe, this is your sign to go. So grab your tickets, call your friends, and make unforgettable memories!
