Back in 1949 is when Rodeo De Santa Fe was born. When a group of guys by the names of Austin Green, Roy Butler, Gene Petchesky, Paul Ragle, Paul Rutledge (and a few others whose names are not mentioned) came together one day and made a dream into reality. With some hard work and determination, they were able to organize a PRCA rodeo in Santa Fe, New Mexico.

Rodeo De Santa Fe is now in the top 60 pro rodeos in the nation. Drawing in around 500 contestants last year, that did include multiple world champion cowgirls and cowboys. Rodeo De Santa Fe does expect to have another contestant lineup like last year.
