The SASSR has a long and storied history, stemming back to its first stock show in 1949 and its first rodeo in 1950. It has since grown in size and popularity, drawing visitors from all over the world. This event is a staple for the people of San Antonio and Texans alike, to come together and celebrate their Texas heritage in a fun and exciting way.

Events & Activities for Everyone

This year’s event will feature over many different events and activities, all aimed to delight and entertain visitors. Get ready for the NCHA Cutting Show to Swifty Swine Pig Races and everything in between. Of course, another highlight of the San Antonio Stock Show and Rodeo is the rodeo itself. During the competition, cowboys and cowgirls will compete in events like bull riding, steer roping, and barrel racing with fans being able to watch the action from the stands, or from the concourse.
