The 38th annual Silver & Turquoise Ball benefiting the Phoenix Indian Center is kicking off on Friday, October 22, 2021, at 6:00 pm at The Scottsdale Resort at McCormick Ranch. The location address is, 7700 E McCormick Pkwy, Scottsdale, AZ 85258. This special event is honoring the resilience of Indigenous people and supports important work with the urban American Indian population.
The mission of the Phoenix Indian Center is to serve the American Indian community with culturally relevant youth services, cultural and language revitalization programs, workforce and education development. The Phoenix Indian Center envisions a thriving and healthy Indian Country. Their office is located at 4520 North Central Ave, #250 Phoenix, Arizona 85012.
This spectacular event will be held as an in-person event, as well as a live stream for virtual attendees. A silent auction will begin at 6:00 PM and the Indigenous-inspired dinner along with the culturally enriched entertainment is kicking off at 7:00 PM. The event features both live and silent auctions that will highlight American Indian jewelry and art as well as services and gifts from a wide variety of local businesses.
This special event will be honoring the Executive Director of the Native American Rights Fund, John Echohawk. John will receive the 2021 Leon Grant Spirit of the Community Award. Director of Public Relations and Communication.
