Snake River Stampede 2017

Written by

Established in 1915, the Snake River Stampede is one of the oldest and most popular rodeos in the United States. This year’s rodeo, scheduled for July 18-22 at the Ford Idaho Center in Nampa, Idaho, promises to deliver plenty of excitement for cowboys and cowgirls across Idaho. This Nampa rodeo, with its non-stop action and endless array of thrills and spills, will no doubt be bigger and better than ever. Having extensive media coverage from the Cowboy Lifestyle Network, Ak-Chin Indian Community, Earnhardt Auto Centers, and Papa John’s Road Team, fans can be assured of getting plenty of great interviews and behind-the-scenes clips of this Nampa rodeo.
Rodeo History
Born out of the Nampa Harvest Festival in the early 20th-century, the Snake River Stampede has been attended by presidents such as Franklin Delano Roosevelt and other famous folks over the years. As the rodeo continued to transform itself over the years, it became not only a rodeo, but a true entertainment spectacular as well. Attracting country music superstars such as Reba McEntire and Glen Campbell, the event now attracts tens of thousands of fans from across the country each year, ranking it as one of the Top 10 PRCA rodeos in the United States.
Events and Charities
As with most popular rodeos, the Snake River Stampede has plenty of exciting events and supports numerous charities. With barrel racing, team roping, steer wrestling, and tie-down roping among the many scheduled competitions, fans will have plenty of action to keep them on the edge of their seats. Along with this, plenty of charities will benefit from this Nampa rodeo, including Stampede for the Cure and various military organizations.
Stock Contractor
To ensure the best animals are used in the Snake River Stampede, Cervi Championship Rodeo will serve as this year’s stock contractor. Started more than 60 years ago, Cervi now produces 10 of the top 50 rodeos associated with the PRCA, making them the premier stock contractor in the industry.
Entertainment and Tickets
With such great entertainment events as Miss Rodeo Idaho, IDTA Drill Competition, and Dance on the Dirt featuring the Jeff Palmer Band, fans will have fun each and every night. To purchase tickets, contact the Snake River Stampede Office at 208-466-8497 or visit their website at www.snakeriverstampede.com/contacts. No matter what event is your favorite, there’s no doubt Idaho cowboys and cowgirls will have so much fun in Nampa that they’ll never want to leave.
