The Sonoma County Pro Rodeo is a great place for family and friends to get together and celebrate their being together, while having a boatload of fun. What makes this PRCA Rodeo so special?
Tradition, The Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association (PRCA) is the oldest and largest rodeo still standing in the world. They continue every year. For the past 75 years, to bring family fun to Sonoma County.
Buisness and Animal Welfare
The PRCA is focused on keeping up the most astounding guidelines in the business in every area, from enhancing working conditions for contestants and monitoring animal welfare to boosting excitement value and advancing sponsors.
What rodeo events will cowboy(s) and cowgirl(s) be competing in?
The cowboys and cowgirls will be competing for top dollar trophies in the following categories:

  • Bareback Riding
  • Saddle Bronc Riding
  • Bull Riding
  • Team Roping
  • Tie-Down Roping
  • Steer Wrestling
  • Calf Roping
  • Barrel Racing

Brief history- The Sonoma County Fair
The Fair is Sonoma County’s most time honored and cherished traditions. This tradition began in 1936, when local leaders Ernest Finley, Joseph T. Grace, V.G. Garrett and Emil Kraft came together to create a race track and a fair to provide Sonoma County’s cowboy(s) and cowgirl(s) with something to do. Through the last 75 years, the fair has grown to become famous for their stunning flower show, quality horse racing, and constant breakthroughs in family fun.
How many people will attend this historic event?
The Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association (PRCA) attracts over 30 million cowboy(s) and cowgirl(s) annually. A lot of the attracted fans attend as many of the PRCA authorized events around the United States as much as possible each year ongoing. Fans can also follow the professional rodeo all year long without travel; through the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association has TV coverage on the CBS Sports’s Network, ProRodeo.com, the Pro Rodeo Sports News as well as many other rodeo related media and or television sources.
