The Sonoma County Wine Country Rodeo 2017

Written by

For cowboys and cowgirls who love to witness the rough and tumble action of rodeos, there’s no better place to see all this and much more than the Sonoma County Fairgrounds.  On August 5th, the Wine Country Rodeo comes to the area, bringing with it enough thrills and spills to delight the whole family.  As a PRCA sanctioned event, this Sonoma County rodeo will have some of the best rodeo competitors from across the United States.  Slated for August 5th at 7:30 p.m., there’s no doubt this year’s rodeo promises to be the best yet.
Rodeo Events
If you’re going to be attending the Wine Country Rodeo, there will be plenty of events that will offer non-stop action all day long.  Some of the events scheduled include:
–Steer Wrestling
–Team Roping
–Barrel Racing
–Bull Riding
–Bareback Riding
And to make sure these and other events will get extensive coverage, a number of media outlets will be covering this PRCA rodeo from start to finish.  As is the case at most of the big rodeos across the country, the Cowboy Lifestyle Network will give fans its usual array of great interviews, videos, and behind-the-scenes glimpses of the competition.  Along with CLN, the Ak-Chin Indian Community, Earnhardt Auto Centers, and Papa John’s Road Team will also offer unique insights into this Sonoma County rodeo.
Special Events
Along with the action of the Wine Country Rodeo, there are plenty of special events associated with this Sonoma County rodeo as well.  One of the most popular is the crowning of Miss Wine Country Rodeo, which this year went to Katie Ward-Crummey.  With her exceptional horsemanship skills, public speaking ability, and charming personality, there’s no doubt Katie will be an excellent representative of the event. Along with winning a $500 scholarship, Katie also received a commemorative belt buckle and will preside over the PRCA rodeo, as well as Farmer’s Day and other activities at the Sonoma County Fair.
