“Spring into Shopping” on March 25 at the UltraStar Multi-tainment Center

Written by

Shoppers, mark your calendars and get ready for a great springtime shopping spree! The annual Spring into Shopping vendor event happens Saturday, March 25, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the UltraStar Multi-tainment Center at Ak-Chin Circle.

This unique event brings together a wide variety of vendors under one roof for your shopping convenience and enjoyment. You’ll discover many fun and unique items that you probably won’t find anywhere else — no two vendors here offer the same type of goods!

The day showcases up to 40 high-quality vendors with booths lining the inside of the UltraStar Multi-tainment Center at Ak-Chin Circle. Vendor types and styles typically include individually operated, direct sales companies with jewelry, candles, cosmetics, diet and exercise products, educational opportunities, baking goods, cooking supplies and gadgets, unique food, clothing, and more. Gather lots of ideas for new products, projects, and styles — there’s something for everyone! You’ll find wood-carved goods, wind chimes, handmade crafts, children’s items, and much more. You can also enjoy the upbeat music playing throughout the building all day long.

While vendors at the event typically don’t sell any pre-made food, venues located within the Multi-tainment Center will be open for visitors to purchase a variety of meals, snacks, and beverage items. Options include the coffee shop, restaurant, sports bar and concession stands. Make a day of it! Stay for lunch or snacks before or after your shopping excursion.

The Multi-tainment Center is located at 16000 N. Maricopa Road within the Ak-Chin Indian Community. For event vendor information, contact Jennie Bartch with Limitless Events.

While you’re shopping until you drop, leave plenty of time to visit all the fun within the UltraStar Multi-tainment Center. There are 24 lanes of bowling; 50 plus arcade games; a two-story, 3,000-square-foot laser tag arena; and 12 screens playing the latest movies.

Carolyn Sostrom

Carolyn Sostrom is a long-time Arizona resident who loves desert sunsets, warm weather, Zumba, and the Western lifestyle. She attended Saguaro High School in Scottsdale and then Arizona State University, earning a bachelor’s degree in journalism. Similarly to the protagonist in *The Devil Wears Prada*, Carolyn moved to New York City right after college. She started working for the fashion magazine company Conde Nast but never transitioned to the dark side. After a few years, she left New York in the rearview mirror and returned to her home state, taking a reporter job at the *Apache Junction Independent*. With over 30 years of freelance writing experience, Carolyn especially enjoys writing about community events and profiling individuals who are making a difference in their communities. She had the pleasure of interviewing a variety of cowboy personalities for an article she wrote for the *Scottsdale Independent* about the history of DC Ranch and its roots as a working ranch. Now, her Western adventures with CLN have her diving into the rugged automotive scene, exploring the trucks and rigs cowboys rely on for work, home, and play, a niche where grit meets horsepower. She works at Raising Special Kids, a nonprofit resource center for families of children with disabilities and special healthcare needs. Carolyn also volunteers with the Autism Society of Greater Phoenix. Carolyn believes that everyone has a story, and she loves connecting with others to hear their stories. She’s dedicated to ethical journalism and accurate reporting, which shines through in her storytelling.
