Mark your calendars cowboys and cowgirls as this month, September 25-26th, the Rodeo Hall of Fame weekend kicks off in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Being held at the National Cowboy and Western Heritage Museum, featured inductees include B.J. Pierce, Bob Feist, and the ever so legendary Bobby Delvecchio.
Dating back long ago to 1955, the very first rodeo hall of fame has been hauling in some of the greatest ever to ride in the nation. Those who have the honor of being placed in such a prominent group of names, are nominated by their fellow peers year in and year out. Hosting is the Rodeo Historical Society who’s mission is to preserve the beautiful history of the sport.
This year, expect to see a performance by Ned LeDoux, son of the late rodeo rider Chris
LeDoux, and an all night Champions Gala, where dinner, auctions, and a welcoming of the class of 2015 will take place. Partake in other activities, such as photo ops and sit downs with a past PRCA All-Around World Champion along with other storied greats.
Flying to the sooner state are World Champion Bull Rider Charlie Sampson, OD of CLN, and Tex Earnhardt of Earnhardt Auto Centers. There, they’ll be sure to cover all the action taking place for you cowboys and cowgirls.
Media coverage of the ceremony is brought to you by Cowboy Lifestyle Network, the Ak-Chin Indian Community, and Earnhardt Auto Road Team.
