Give your kiddos a taste of fame at Cave Creek Rodeo Days
For any of you going heading out to see the Pro Rodeo Competition at Cave Creek Rodeo Days that will be held March 22nd through the 24th. But for any of you with young rodeo competitors in the family, Cave Creek will be holding a Mutton Bustin on Saturday March 16th for all competitors ages 4 through 7 who weigh less than 75 lbs. It will be a great opportunity to give the younger ages a taste of fame and show off their wicked sheep riding skills!
If jumpin’ on a wild sheep isn’t quite your thing, no worries! For all you little girls out there, the Cave Creek Rodeo will have 20 open spots for the position of the Cave Creek Rodeo Princess. As the Princess you will be riding on the Royalty Float during the Cave Creeks Rodeo Parade as well as showing off your crown at the Jr. Mutton Bustin and all three days of the Pro Rodeo (held the following weekend).
But don’t give up your shiny crown too soon! With the honor of being the Cave Creek Rodeo Princess you are also obliged to attend/support any Cave Creek town events throughout the year! The goal of being Princess is to shape all young girls into being good role models, spokeswoman and friend while still advocating for the sport of rodeo! The program searches for girls with good sportsmanship, personality, public speaking and appearance. All of which will not only shape them into better young women, but it will also be preparing them for a future as a Rodeo Queen (a very high honor to hold).
