This week Paramount Network launched a brand new unscripted series on professional Reining titled, The Last Cowboy, from the creator of the hit original scripted American drama series Yellowstone.

Season 1 – Episode 1, takes place in Cowboy Lifestyle Network’s hometown of Scottsdale, Arizona, where eight veteran horsemen and horsewomen living in Maricopa County give us a glimpse at what it’s like to be a cowboy and cowgirl that train and compete in the sport of Reining.

The high-end production series follows horse trainers and their families, as they reveal how tough it is to compete in this extremely demanding and dangerous equestrian sport.

This is one show you will want to watch, due to incredible cinematography and how real the documentation of their experiences are as they train to compete in hopes of winning the upcoming event named “The Run for a Million (TRFAM).” This extraordinary Reining event is taking place on Thursday, August 15th, through Saturday, August 17th at South Point Arena and Equestrian Center at South Point Hotel Casino and Spa in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Lainey Wilson & Jason Boland and the Stragglers perform LIVE!

In fact, a purchase of your ticket also grants entry to the Country Music concert featuring Lainey Wilson from 8:00 PM – 8:45 pm; with the fan-favorite Jason Boland and the Stragglers from 9:00 pm – 10:30 pm. All of these events are family-friendly and will all happen inside of the South Point Arena.

“Academy-Award nominee Taylor Sheridan, writer of HELL OR HIGH WATER and SICARIO, WRITER/DIRECTOR of WIND RIVER and co-creator of YELLOWSTONE, wanted to design a venue that showcased the talent of both horse and rider in one of the most demanding equine sports in existence: Reining. Sheridan has partnered with Amanda Brumley, Brumley Management Group producer of three National Reining Horse Association leading events world-wide, to create and produce this one of a kind event.”  –  trfam.com
