The new season of This Is Country TV is set to air on the Cowboy Lifestyle Network for 2018. Brian Doty has been in the entertainment industry for several years hosting TV shows, an internationally syndicated radio show, acting, and modeling. Over the years his shows have always been reflecting the country way of life from the outdoor industry, the western sector & the Texas Red Dirt Music scene. The demographics of fans and followers Doty has gained along his entertainment journey are people that enjoy the outdoors, ranching, farming, rodeo, country music, and family. So from that Doty has included all his favorite things into one show with a name that describes it all… This Is Country! In each episode of This Is Country TV you will visit small town USA with host Brian Doty as he shows you the country way of life on horseback. From local town events, ranching & rodeos, hunting, live music and charity work, he will show you the more straightforward way of life. With a new destination each week you will learn about small-town hot spots, the cowboy lifestyle and good country folks helping those in need.
Doty also said some of his favorite shows to watch on TV are those that show travel, food, history and the western lifestyle. So each segment of This Is Country will incorporate all the things Doty enjoys doing in his everyday life but also the elements he thinks will interest a broad demographic of viewers as well. The first section of the show Doty will be traveling to a small town destination, giving viewers info on that town as well as things to do. Now you cant take a road trip and not have a good place to eat lined out. So he will also let you in on the small town hot spots showing you the food they are known for and a look in the kitchen at how it is made. The next segment of the show will pick up at a ranch outside the town where Doty will be riding out and working with ranch hands. Spring and fall brandings, driving cattle from one pasture to the next, weaning calves or gathering bulls, Doty will show you a day in the life of the cowboys as you learn about the operation & history of that ranch.
Of course, you will get to see how these cowboys unwind and have fun when the workday is done. You will see anything from their ranch rodeo & arena horseplay to shooting skeet and hunting. Doty said the ranch operations change from region to region as well as the culture and food, but one thing that you will find in small town USA and the cowboy lifestyle is their willingness to help those in need. When the opportunity is there, you will get to see segments of Doty working with local charities or Western Wishes doing just that.
Doty said “I think people get so caught up in our fast-paced daily routines that we overlook things that are truly the most important. I just want to shed some light on the small towns that have been bypassed by an interstate. The hard-working ranchers & farmers that outwork any 40 hour a week job and never brag or complain. All the small town business are struggling to make it in the community they were raised in and competing against corporate America. Families that sit at the dinner table together and bless the food before they eat. Volunteer rodeo committees that are working hard to make each rodeo bigger and better. You are appreciated, and I thank you!”
Each week Doty will take viewers to another small town destination featuring a different ranch or small town rodeo. Some of the locations he will visit this season will bring viewers to Texas, Oklahoma, Nebraska, South Dakota and Kansas. As Doty says in the show:
“The cowboy way of life is alive and well and I want to take you along for the ride” – Brian Doty
