Tucson-Rodeo---La-Fiesta-de-los-Vaqueros-2015-(FI)
Here at the Cowboy Lifestyle Network, we know that the western lifestyle is alive and well. One of the most popular traditions still going strong is the Tucson Rodeo – La Fiesta de los Vaqueros, is taking place from February 21-March 1 at the Tucson Rodeo Grounds. Held annually for the past 90 years, the rodeo has become a beloved tradition for generations of families in Tucson. Whether it’s timed events or rough stock, some of the best cowboys and cowgirls on the PRCA circuit today will be in attendance.
First held in 1925, this rodeo has had a rich and unique history. From wild beginnings, the rodeo has grown to become a full-fledged western festival spanning several days featuring a parade that includes folk dancers, marching bands, floats and more. Over 200,000 people attend the event, making it one of the most popular rodeos in the west.
While the Tucson Rodeo – La Fiesta de los Vaqueros is filled with excitement during the day, a great way to unwind each evening is by attending the Barn Dance. Held from 4-8 p.m. each rodeo day, the dance features live music and good food for everyone to enjoy.
