Ultrastar Multi-tainment Center at Ak-Chin Circle January Team Member of the Month – Bud Ryan
If ice skating during the heat of the summer sounds like a cool deal, come check out the new Ultrastar Ice Rink. The UltraStar Multi-tainment Center at Ak-Chin Circle unveils this brand-new attraction on Friday, July 22, to coincide with opening day for the movie “Ice Age: Collision Course.” The indoor ice rink will open at noon daily from July 22 to August 15, and will welcome skaters until 8 p.m. on Sundays through Thursdays and until 10 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays. The cost is $5 for unlimited use during operating hours, which includes skates, or for $3 you can add a skate package to an UltraStar wristband. Socks are also available for $2. Skaters must be at least four-years-old and 36 inches tall; signed waivers are required for all participants and no outside skates will be allowed.

The ice rink is made of synthetic ice, which is created using a non-toxic glide enhancer, the liquid is sprayed on the surface to reduce friction from the ice skate blades. Because the ice is synthetic, it’s a little slower to skate on than real ice, making it ideal for beginners and kids.

The ice rink will be back in the fall and will be moved to an outside location where everyone can look forward to even more fun on the ice, including special and seasonal events. The UltraStar Multi-tainment Center at Ak-Chin Circle offers much more than ice-skating fun. Blockbuster hits show at the theaters, which house 12 all-digital screens for guests to enjoy. In addition to comfortable stadium seating, balcony seating is also available in the Star Class, where guests can place orders and be served food and beverages directly, in a luxury theater seat.

Other attractions within the UltraStar Multi-tainment Center at Ak-Chin Circle include the Ten Pins Down bowling facility, laser tag, a gaming arena and a “gamer cave,” for multi-player video games. When guests visit the UltraStar Multi-tainment Center at Ak-Chin Circle, they will find activities to entertain everyone in your group.
Soon, ice skating will be added to the center’s fun array of activities. Get ready to lace up your skates at the Ultrastar Ice Rink! For more information, visit https://www.facebook.com/events/1657763257881638/.
