US Mounted Shooting- 4D with a Bang!

The US Mounted Shooting (USMS) Wrangler Desert Nationals is coming up quick at Westworld Equidome Scottsdale, Arizona January 28-20, 2021. It will be streamed live on Wrangler Network (wranglernetwork.com) featuring the Highnoon Shootout Finals- featuring Pistol, Rifle, and Shotgun finalists on Saturday, January 30, 12 pm MST.

This exciting new Mounted Shooting association established in 2020 is growing fast and furious, accruing over 100 plus new members a month ages ranging from 4 years old to 84 years old, cowboys and cowgirls to boot. All you need is a willing equine partner and a 45 Caliber single-action pistol. The uniqueness of this association is its run on the 4D format that has made barrel racing so popular and appealing to contestants of all ages and skill levels. The contestants have to shoot all of their 10 balloon targets per run to collect a check! Speed and accuracy is the name of the game and you can enter as many horses as you want. World Champion Mounted Shooter and USMS Event Marketing Consultant, “Outlaw Annie” Bianco says.

I love the 4D Format to run all levels of horses, it’s a perfect format to season young horses and run your 1D veteran horse. Just load up your trailer and pack your 45.s! At all the big events you have 5 separate runs to win a check in all the 4Ds and then the top 20 overall contestants with no missed targets overall after the 5 runs come back in a “Shootout” for some major cash!”

I grew up on a Midwest farm with dirt under my fingernails and the sound of wind rustling through cornfields. My childhood was all about 4H – raising pigs and horses, learning to bake and sew, and discovering the magic of transforming a garden into jars of summer sunshine. Those years taught me the value of hard work, the thrill of seeing a project through to the end, and the simple joy of creating something beautiful. A country girl with a need for speed and a thirst for adventure. Maybe that's why I love the feeling of wind in my hair – whether I'm cruising down a dusty road on my Harley or tackling a mountain trail on my trusty mountain bike. Some of my earliest memories of rodeo are watching my father compete at small local events. That's also where my love for country music comes in – long car rides listening to 8 tracks. The lyrics and melodies always spoke to my soul. These days, you'll find me cheering on the cowboys and cowgirls at rodeos, two-stepping to my favorite bands, belting out a country tune at a concert or sharing stories and laughter with friends around a bonfire.
