Walla Walla, Washington, is a stunning city that boasts one of the most celebrated rodeos of the summer, the Walla Walla Frontier Days Rodeo. Walla Walla Frontier Days Rodeo

The PRCA sanctioned rodeo, taking place August 28th-September 1st, 2019, is very popular among the top cowboys, with Tim O’Connell, Rusty Wright, and Marty Yates being just three of the famous winners from last year’s rodeo.

As usual, the rodeo includes all of the standard events: barrel racing, saddle bronc riding, bareback riding, tie-down roping, team roping, steer wrestling, and bull riding. In addition, the rapidly growing sport of breakaway roping will be returning to the rodeo, with 55 contestants entered this year.

For rodeo fans who would like to participate in theme nights, August 30th will be Tough Enough to Wear Pink night, August 31st will be a night to honor all past and present rodeo legends, and September 1st will be Patriots Night.

Walla Walla Frontier Days Fair

There is no shortage of fun to be had at the fair! Davis Shows NW, Inc., a family-oriented traveling carnival, will be providing quality rides, games, and food concessions. Other popular fair attractions include the Walla Walla Valley Honda Demolition Derby, comedy hypnotist Kerry Sharp, Many Waters Pony Races, and the Kid’s Farm Center.

Fair attendees will also want to be sure to catch the Parade, taking place Saturday, August 31, 2019, in historic downtown Walla Walla.

Walla Walla Frontier Days Concerts

Walla Walla goes all out when it comes to concerts! This year’s lineup includes Chris Janson as the 2019 headliner. Rising country star Russell Dickerson is also scheduled to perform, so there will be no shortage of country music for rodeo fans to enjoy.
