Rodeo Action in Sunny Arizona

This action-filled event features a full rodeo lineup, including Bull Riding, Bareback Riding, and Saddle Bronc all YETI Junior NFR Qualifiers, plus crowd favorites like Mutton Bustin’, Team Roping, Barrel Racing, Calf Roping, and Breakaway Roping. Open rodeos are full of action and fun to watch, but there’s something so special about watching the next generation give it their all to accomplish their dreams. The G & G Rodeo is the perfect step for them to get to the YETI Junior NFR!

“Whether you’re a lifelong rodeo fan or just looking for a memorable night out, Wickenburg’s Grit & Glory Rodeo promises raw talent, Western pride, and good old-fashioned rodeo excitement you won’t forget.”

Entertainment

The fun doesn’t stop when the arena dust settles! Enjoy local vendors, delicious food, a mechanical bull, and face painting for the kids. When the sun sets, the arena turns into a dance floor and some amazing talent hits the stage.

Colton McMurdie

A singer and songwriter with deep country roots, Colton McMurdie brings stories to life through authentic lyrics, rugged vocals, and a passion that reflects his love for the land, the people, and the rodeo way of life. As a professional auctioneer and rodeo announcer, he’s spent years bringing energy and excitement to events across the Southwest, always staying close to the dirt, the dust, and the spirit of the sport. After facing life-changing paralysis from a car accident, he continues to compete and contribute to the rodeo community, proving that resilience runs deep and that passion doesn’t fade with adversity.

Hollywood Yates

Hollywood Yates’ sound and music take you for a ride down a dusty gravel road with the windows down. He started in the entertainment business at the age of 7 as an Elvis impersonator, and has since been an NFR Wrangler Bullfighter twice, an NFR Wrangler Bullfight Barrelman once, wrestled with the WWE, and was known as WOLF on NBC’s American Gladiators. He’s a true performer through and through, and I know he’s going to bring the house down at the G & G Rodeo! It doesn’t get more American than Hollywood Yates.

Collin Vivolo

Driven by a passion for live performance, Collin Vivolo thrives on the connection between artist and crowd. With a natural stage presence and a strong connection to Western entertainment, he blends music, personality, and crowd interaction in a way that feels effortless and fun. His style is upbeat, approachable, and rooted in the Western way of life, making him a standout entertainer who adds excitement and personality to every event he’s part of.

Team Roping Capital

See ya all in sunny Wickenburg, Arizona, the Team Roping and Dude Ranch capital of the world. The town earns this reputation due to the sheer density of roping activity that occurs between October and April:

National Finals: Wickenburg is the home base for the National Team Roping (NTR) Finals, which draws the best ropers from across the country to Rancho Rio.

High Concentration of Arenas: For a town of its size, Wickenburg has an incredible number of venues. Major arenas include Rancho Rio, Simpson Ranch (Roper Nation), Downtown Arena, and Big Tree Arena.

The Winter “Snowbird” Ropers: Every winter, thousands of ropers, from world-class professionals to “weekend warriors,” descend on the town with their horses and rigs. This seasonal surge effectively turns the town into a massive equestrian hub.

Volume of Events: During the peak season, it is common to have multiple jackpots and ropings happening simultaneously across different arenas, with thousands of teams competing for significant prize money every week.
