Ak-Chin Southern Dunes Golf Club offers beer and wine sampling events in January that are sure to please. Try some different libations and tempting food and have a great time!

A tasting hosted by Firestone Walker Brewing Company happens Thursday, January 16, for guests age 21 and older. Based in Paso Robles, California, Firestone Walker Brewing Company is a craft brewery founded in 1996 by Adam Firestone and brother-in-law David Walker, joined by Brewmaster Matt Brynildson. With multiple locations in California, their beer selections include pale ales, vintage barrel-aged beers, wild ales, and R&D beers. Enjoy some different tastes and learn more about this brewery! The beer tasting starts at 5 p.m. on the patio, and five tastings will be offered for $5.

Then on Saturday, January 18, The Prisoner Wine Company hosts a wine dinner starting at 6 p.m. at Arroyo Grille. Feast on a five-course meal paired with five wine tastings, all for $89 per person.

Based in St. Helena, California, Prisoner Wine company is run by Chrissy Whittmann, with a background in ecology and biology, and Niki Williams, who grew up in an Illinois farming community and worked for a European travel company. Their team offers selections from vineyards across California. Don’t miss the chance to taste their different varietals, paired with delicious food from Chef Neil Magbanua at the Arroyo Grille! Reservations are recommended for both events; call 520-365-1748 to reserve your spot.

It’s a wonderful time to celebrate a special occasion at one or both events — make it a date night or enjoy a night out with friends or coworkers, either way you are sure to experience a favorable time!

Don’t miss the chance to sample the Arroyo Grille menu on other nights too. The restaurant offers different weekly specials, including a Fish Fry on Wednesdays for $14 or a Kansas City Strip with fries on Thursdays for $15. If you like prime rib, try the $24 prime rib special on Friday or Saturday evenings. Short on time? A to-go menu is available too.
