You should have heard by now that the Wrangler NFR 2020 has moved to Arlington/Fort Worth Texas. This will be the first time that the NFR has been back to Texas since its inception. Talk about groundbreaking! We wish the circumstances were better, but the fact that we are getting an NFR at all is something to be excited about. I am excited to guide you through everything you need to know about the Wrangler NFR 2020!
The NFR will be taking place on December 3rd-12th, 2020 at the Globe Life Stadium in Arlington, home to the famous Texas Rangers baseball team. This will be the first non-baseball event to take place at this stadium. In case you are worried about Covid-19, there will be precautions put in place to keep all attendees safe and healthy. Here is a quote from the NFR Experience website per the precautions being taken for this event.
“Seats will be sold in groups of four with separation between groups. Contact-limiting measures, such as mobile tickets, have been implemented throughout the event. There will also be metal detector screenings and a no bag policy at entries on performance nights. Globe Life Field is encouraging all guests to check the CDC and the Texas Department of State Health Services websites for any guideline changes prior to the event.”
Since 1986, Cowboy Christmas has been the ultimate fan favorite. It has grown to be an extremely interactive and shopping experience. Cowboy Christmas is ultimately the best source for the official PRCA and Wrangler NFR merchandise. There are countless unique items including western wear, original art, home goods, handmade crafts, furniture, boots, and spurs, as well as custom-made jewelry. Also, the best part about Cowboy Christmas is that admission is free every day during the NFR from 10am – 7pm. Health and safety guidelines will be in place to keep vendors and shoppers safe.
There will be more than 800 entries that are expected to compete in the Junior World Finals this year to compete for a championship buckle. This is the fifth consecutive year that the Junior World Finals will be held. There will be nine events including a series of age groups in each event. The events include saddle bronc riding, steer wrestling, pole bending, team roping, tie-down roping, bareback riding, barrel racing and you can’t forget bull riding. There will be qualifiers and finals in each of those nine events. Tickets are $10 per person and the event will be held in the Wrangler Rodeo Arena — Inside the Cowtown Coliseum at the Stockyards.
