Yuma Silver Spur Rodeo 2024

Yuma, Arizona – The 79th Annual Yuma Silver Spur Rodeo, presented by Rain for Rent, is ready to take over the Yuma County Fairgrounds soon. February 9, 10, and 11, 2024, are the dates for this unique rodeo, which promises to put on a show you don’t want to miss.

Motocross Barrel Racing Event

The annual rodeo features the Motocross vs Barrels event sponsored by Coca-Cola of Yuma. Watch as rodeo meets extreme sporting as motocross enthusiasts compete in this thrilling event. The event takes place during each rodeo performance and challenges the motocross amongst the rodeo fans to take their quad, 3-wheeler, or dirt bike around the barrels in the pattern of the barrel racing event. The fastest times win cash prizes!

Rodeo Royalty

The rodeo is the highlight, but there are many people who make sure each event is a success. The 2023 Yuma Silver Spur Rodeo Queen Briana Hix and 2023 Yuma Silver Spur Rodeo Teen Queen Rylee Cox will attend each performance to grace the crowd with their riding skills and great smiles.

Bullfighters

The gentlemen who keep the bull riders safe at each rodeo are beyond important and this rodeo is no different. Check out Zach Devol, from Elbert, Colorado, and Conner Rowley, from Westcliffe, Colorado. These two brave gentlemen bring such accolades to the arena as 3x Mountain States Circuit Finals Bullfighter and a win in the PRCA Year-End Freestyle Bullfight amongst many others.

Rodeo Clown – Hollywood Yates

Alongside the bull fighters is the rodeo clown and at this rodeo it is none other than Hollywood Yates. Hollywood Yates is the most Versatile Entertainer in the business. PRCA Rodeo Clown/Bullfighter, Amazing Singer, Musician. Rodeo Yates is versatile, there is no doubt, but here you will see him in the event where roots run deep. Entertaining since the age of 7, Hollywood Yate’s resume reads like the true Renaissance man- 23 years on the professional rodeo circuit as a bullfighter and rodeo clown, including 2 time NFR Wrangler bullfights finalist, 1 time NFR Wrangler bullfights Barrel man, 2 time BRO World Champion Bullfighter, 3 time Salinas Bullfight Champion, 3 time Ellensburg Bullfight Champion, 4 time FT. Madison Bullfight Champion plus over 30 other championships. Hollywood Yates IS THE most recognized bullfighter.

Honeycutt Rodeo Inc. – Stock Contractor of the Yuma Silver Spur Rodeo

Without the stock contractor who provides the rodeo livestock, there would literally be no rodeo. Honeycutt Rodeo Inc. is proud to be a family-run rodeo company now 5 generations strong. They take pride in providing the highest quality family entertainment.

Heritage & Tradition

Heritage and Tradition are important to the Honeycutt family, who has been producing professional rodeos spanning 8 decades. Faith in God, family, and country drives the Honeycutt Rodeo Company. With rodeo as the tool, they strive to bring glory and honor to all three.

Future Generations

Not only are they raising the future generations of rodeo stock contractors, but future animal stars as well. Their colts and young bulls can be seen running the high plains of the Alamosa, Colorado Ranch, waiting their turn to show what they’ve got.

Events

  • February 9th, 2:00 pm to 7:00 pm
    • Come out and see the best athletes in the PRCA and WPRA and the crowd favorite Mutton Busting at the 79th Annual Yuma Silver Spur Rodeo. Gates open at 2 pm with the performance starting at 4 pm. Merchandise vendors and food vendors.
    • *This performance is Senior Appreciation Day and Man Up Crusade Day (wear purple for domestic violence awareness)
  • February 10th, 2:00 pm to 7:00 pm
    • Another great performance night, but this is the night to wear your pink! Celebrate Tough Enough To Wear Pink Day by wearing pink for breast cancer awareness.
  • February 11th, 12:00 pm to 5:00 pm
    • The final performance of the rodeo and one you can not miss. Gates open at noon and the performance happens at 2 pm. Celebrate RAM Rodeo Day and Military Appreciation Day by wearing your red, white and blue!
