While Colorado is known for its beautiful mountains and stunning scenery, true cowboys and cowgirls also know it’s an area that’s known for hosting great rodeos. Because of this, rodeo fans from Gunnison, Colorado and across the United States will be flocking to the Fred R. Field Western Heritage Center from July 7-16 to see some of the best rodeo action anywhere. With the 117th Annual Cattlemen’s Days Rodeo rolling into town, there’s no doubt this PRCA event will be one to remember.

Due to its rich heritage, the Cattlemen’s Days Rodeo in Gunnison, Colorado will have plenty of media coverage. Schedule of Events
From the first day to the last, the Cattlemen’s Days Rodeo will have events all fans will enjoy. While July 7th features the Cattlemen’s Days 4-H Horse Show, other highlights include the 4-H Dog Obedience Show on the 10th, the Pioneer Banquet at the Elks Lodge on the 12th, Tough Enough to Wear Pink on the 13th, and the Cattlemen’s Days Rodeo Parade on the 15th.
Ticket Information
With tickets going on sale July 5th, fans of this PRCA event in Gunnison, Colorado are urged to get their tickets as early as possible. With tickets available at the door or at the ticket booth at Gunnison Bank and Trust, fans have plenty of chances to secure tickets for this great PRCA event. While general admission tickets cost only $15, reserved grandstand seating is a bargain as well at only $20. And to make the event even more special and affordable to families, children under age 12 who are accompanied by a paid adult can enjoy the rodeo for free.
The Granddaddy of All Rodeos
Known as the “Granddaddy of All Rodeos” due to its long and rich history of celebrating the western way of life, this PRCA event in Gunnison, Colorado also helps a variety of local charities. Along with the Protect Our West Program conducted by Coors, the Cattlemen’s Days Rodeo also benefits the Wildland Firefighter Foundation, donating as much as $250,000 annually to the organization.
