From August 19 through 21, the community of Norco, California welcomes all fans of traditional Western sports to the George Ingalls Equestrian Event Center for the 32nd annual PRCA Norco Mounted Posse Rodeo.
Norco gained the nickname “Horsetown U.S.A. for its large population of avid equestrian enthusiasts and horse owners. The rodeo promises fun and excitement for all with a lineup of scheduled activities.

The Norco Mounted Posse

The organization began in 1964 as a law enforcement agency known as the Norco Mounted Police. By 1979, official duties were reassigned to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department. Today, the Mounted Posse consists of a group of male and female volunteers who assist the Sheriff’s Department by monitoring public events and patrolling nearly 100 miles of trails around the city. The group is responsible for sponsoring the annual PRCA Norco Mounted Posse Rodeo. The love of horses and Western events influenced the group to establish the Pro Rodeo Cowboys Association event in 1984.
