Truck fans, it looks like the Ram 1500 will be around for some time, and it even offers some upgrades for 2020. Get to know the Ram 1500 at any Earnhardt Auto Centers dealership, especially Earnhardt RAM Trucks in Gilbert and Rodeo Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram in Queen Creek.
The Ram 1500 saw a redesign last year, but without the 3.0-liter EcoDiesel option. With an expected release of fall 2019, the 2020 RAM 1500 brings back a stronger V6 3.0-liter EcoDiesel option, according to an Edmunds review. This will generate more power and torque to support higher tow ratings than before. The 2020 engine will be rated to tow up to 12,560 pounds, the highest diesel tow rating in the class, according to Edmunds. The EcoDiesel should be available on all trim versions.
The latest Ram 1500 models will be larger and more capable than previous versions, and also more luxurious and tech-savvy, says a review in Autowise. The latest version will also be more efficient due to mild-hybrid technology and a lighter frame due to use of aluminum.
Optional air suspension can enhance fuel economy and improve ride control and off-road handling and capability, according to Torque News. The 2020 Ram 1500 also features automatic load leveling, making it easier to manage.
Inside, the 2020 Ram 1500 offers a more refined and better-appointed cabin with more room than before, says Autowise. An 8.4-inch touchscreen display is now standard, and a split-opening tailgate adds a handy feature.
A full suite of safety options is also expected in the 2020 Ram 1500. The standard screen can be upgraded to a 12-inch touchscreen display with split-screen capability and a 360-degree camera, says Torque News. Views around the vehicle can identify obstacles, and view of the truck bed can help spot issues with loads in the back.
The 2020 Ram 1500 offers a sturdy workhorse with a luxurious feel. Test drive one today at Earnhardt Ram Trucks or Rodeo Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram. Or shop online anytime!
