Cadillac recently introduced the 2021 Cadillac Escalade, with an appealing combination of luxury and utility. Learn more about Cadillac’s latest offering at Earnhardt Chandler Cadillac or Earnhardt Cadillac in Scottsdale.
A review in Auto Trader calls the 2021 Cadillac Escalade “an uber-luxurious, truck-based, family-sized SUV that can tow a large trailer.” For 2021, Cadillac features a standard-length Escalade or a longer ESV model, about the same length as a Chevrolet Suburban, notes Auto Trader. Each option provides three rows of seating.
Everything in the 2021 Cadillac Escalade is new except for the 420-hp 6.2-liter V8 engine, says Auto Trader. The 2021 Escalade model comes with the 6.2-liter V8 engine or an optional diesel power plant similar to that found in the new Chevrolet Silverado or GMC Sierra pickups. The 6.2-liter V8 offers a tow rating of 8,200 pounds compared to the diesel’s 8,000 pounds, according to Auto Trader. Either way, you’ll have the clout to tow some heavy loads. Both engines put out 460 lb-ft of torque, with the diesel’s peak torque at 1,500 rpm versus 4,600 rpm for the gasoline V8. Both engines are paired to a 10-speed automatic transmission.
The 2021 Cadillac Escalade features “numerous cutting-edge technologies to complement its opulence,” notes Auto Trader. This includes a large infotainment screen with more than 38 diagonal inches of display. The screen offers clarity and does a “superb job” of displaying vital information, Auto Trader says, like augmented-reality directions from Cadillac’s latest navigation system. Three digital panels include a driver information center, an instrument cluster and a larger screen to the right for audio, navigation and phone connection.
Another noteworthy technology is the Super Cruise option. It takes autonomous driving “to a new level far beyond adaptive cruise control and lane-keeping assist,” according to Auto Trader. Super Cruise will steer, accelerate and slow the Escalade as needed if the onboard sensors determine the driver is alert and facing forward.
The Cadillac name means luxury and the 2021 Cadillac Escalade lives up to that name. Test drive this vehicle soon at Earnhardt Chandler Cadillac or Earnhardt Cadillac in Scottsdale. Or learn more online at Earnhardt Auto Centers anytime!
