In professional rodeo, few families have built a legacy quite like the Wrights. From world championship titles to multiple generations competing at the NFR, the family has become synonymous with saddle bronc riding. Now, competitors looking to develop their skills will have an opportunity to learn from that experience at the 5th Annual The Wright Way Bronc Riding School, returning this November 23–25 in West Ogden, Utah.

A Legacy Rodeo Family
Based in Milford, Utah, the Wrights have spent decades building their reputations in the arena, with several family members winning world championships.
Cody Wright was among the first to establish the family name in professional rodeo. He won PRCA saddle bronc riding world championships in 2008 and 2010, becoming one of the event’s most respected competitors. His brothers Jesse, Jake, and Spencer also found success in professional rodeo, with Jesse claiming the 2012 world title and Spencer winning in 2014.
The next generation has continued that success. Cody’s sons, Rusty, Ryder, Stetson, and Statler, have all competed in professional rodeo, carrying the family name into a new era. Ryder Wright won saddle bronc riding world championships in 2017, 2020, and 2024, while Stetson Wright has become one of the sport’s standout all-around athletes, winning world titles in saddle bronc riding, bull riding, and the all-around. Statler Wright added another saddle bronc riding world championship in 2025. Rusty is currently leading the 2026 world standings with nearly $275,000 earned so far this year, and will be joined at this year’s NFR by all three of his brothers.
Building the Next Generation of Bronc Riders
Their experience is what makes The Wright Way Bronc Riding School an opportunity for competitors looking to take the next step. Throughout the school, riders can focus on the fundamentals that make a difference in saddle bronc riding, including spur timing, body position, balance, and maintaining control through a horse’s bucking motion. Learning how to mark out properly, keep their feet moving in rhythm with the horse, and adjust to different trips can help riders develop greater consistency in the arena.
Instruction from experienced bronc riders also offers insight into the preparation and technique behind a successful ride, giving attendees practical skills they can carry into their own competitive careers.
The Wright family’s history is proof that success in rodeo takes more than natural ability. It requires years of practice, a willingness to learn, and the discipline to keep improving. Through The Wright Way Bronc Riding School, that knowledge can be passed along to competitors working to build their own futures in the sport.
Registration is $1,200. Call and register through Ben German at 801-540-6233.
An Iconic Brand For an Iconic Family
For rodeo fans, the Wright family’s signature blue shirts are almost as recognizable as the name on the back number. Sponsored by Wrangler, the family has become a familiar sight in the arena, with its distinctive look reflecting a partnership between one of rodeo’s most accomplished families and one of Western wear’s most established brands.
Since 1947, Wrangler has built its legacy around authentic American Western wear, supporting the people, events and traditions that continue to shape Western culture. The brand serves as the title sponsor of the Wrangler National Finals Rodeo and supports hundreds of Western events across North America. The partnership is a natural fit. Both the Wrights and Wrangler have deep roots in rodeo, with reputations built over generations and a continued presence at the sport’s highest levels.
“I am really looking forward to seeing all the Wright brothers compete at the 2026 NFR. The cherry on top will be when Lily makes it to the NFR as well.”
