A Rich Legacy of Western Spirit

For more than 80 years, the ABC Pro Rodeo has been a cornerstone of West Texas culture. Founded by the Lubbock Downtown Chapter of the American Business Clubs (AMBUCS) in the 1940s, this rodeo began as a way to support the Boys & Girls Clubs of Lubbock and local charities, and that tradition of giving back continues today. Over the decades, the rodeo has raised substantial funds for youth and community programs and is an enduring symbol of Texas pride and western heritage.
