Girl Power meets Horsepower: Arizona Bike Week’s Women’s Vicla Showcase

There’s a special energy that rolls through Scottsdale, Arizona each April. The loud rumble of engines, bright lights reflecting off chrome, and the unmistakable pride of riders who live and breathe motorcycle culture, can only mean one thing: Arizona Bike Week is back! In 2026, a new kind of spotlight is stealing the show. The Women’s Vicla Showcase, hosted by Moto Clay and sponsored by Next Level Creations, giving female riders their moment to stand tall, shine bright, and celebrate a culture that’s as artistic as it is powerful.

A Celebration of Craft and Culture

Vicla style has always been about more than just motorcycles,  its heritage, identity, and craftsmanship all rolled into one. Derived from the Spanish slang for “Bicycle,” Vicla culture typically describes a Harley-Davidson bike that has been customized in a lowrider style, metal-flake paint, air-brushed or hand-painted designs depicting Chicano/Chicana roots and Indigenous Heritage, hand-engraved chrome, and more. Incredible displays of culture and craftsmanship, Vicla bikes are living museum pieces that tell the stories of their riders.

Arizona Bike Week’s Women’s Vicla Showcase

Arizona Bike Week’s Women’s Vicla Showcase is bringing Chicana culture, art, and empowerment right to center stage, highlighting the women who pour their heart, history, and hard‑earned skill into every detail of their builds.

In addition to impressive bike displays, riders contribute sponsor giveaways ranging from custom handlebars and apparel to engraved accessories and specialty parts. Next Level Creations is even raffling off a fully custom Vicla‑style kids’ motorcycle, complete with air ride and show‑quality paint, with proceeds going to charity.

Girlpower Meets Horsepower: Meet the Women Behind the Machines

Every rider brings her own story. Stories of identity and the freedom found on two wheels. Arizona Bike Week is proud to highlight several standout women whose bikes and backgrounds reflect the heart of the Vicla community.

Shayna | Riding with Heritage

Shayna carries the spirit of the Shoshone‑Bannock people with her every time she hits the road. A lifelong rider with nearly two decades experience and ten years as a Harley‑Davidson mechanic, her work is rooted in culture, resilience, and the responsibility she carries as a mother, a mechanic, and a woman. Every mile, every wrench turn, and every show she enters is done independently and unapologetically, all to uplift other women and inspire them to chase their own dreams.

Tyra Luna | Pretty in Pink

Tyra brings a burst of Minneapolis spirit to the Southwest, rolling in on her 1999 Harley Heritage Softail lovingly known as Pretty in Pink. With more than 13 years of riding under her belt, she found her way into the Vicla scene through her husband Juan and quickly made it her own. Inspired by the artistry of lowrider culture, especially the pearls, flakes, and intricate paint patterns, Tyra poured that passion into building a bike that reflects her style and her story.

From riders honoring loved ones, to women celebrating their cultural roots, each Vicla in the showcase carries meaning far beyond the paint and chrome. Together, they form a tapestry of voices that enrich the entire Arizona Bike Week experience.
