Arizona Wildbunch 232 Ranch: 2016 Off and Running

Written by

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]We finished 2015 on a high note event though some of us were busted up from the year. But we started up the 232 Ranch LLC, which got us to take a pickup horse to Vegas during the Wrangler NFR for the sale. We’re all were pretty excited about it. We have found our next horse already for the sale for 2016 and have been working towards it. The group has been busy setting plans, goals and already hitting rodeos for 2016.

Now everyone is off and running. In Arizona, during the Winter, it helps to get things rolling with all the great rodeos going now through March. Last year we had a few of us working multiple events and this year looks to be no different. With Chance and Shane hitting the bull riding, while still entering the Bronc riding. They both got their year off and running at the Marana rodeo giving them confidence going into the rest of the year.

Shane pulled a 2nd place check in the bareback while Chance put together a great bronc ride. Shane has been busy doing his leather work while Chance has been swamped with his shoeing business this winter so far. Jason has been working on his roping skills and cracks back out in the bareback riding for 2016 at the Buckeye Senior Pro Rodeo coming up. He has been busy hitting up all the roping’s he can. Getting Chance to head for him every time he can, they both will be in the roping at Lake Havasu coming up and then cutting trail back to Buckeye for his bucking horse on Sunday. Chance will stay in Lake Havasu to ride broncs and bull ride.

There will be a little bit of running that weekend. Lots of logistics in the roping side of things. Finding a place to keep your horse while on the road, bumming a ride on him while entered in the bareback riding somewhere then head to where your horse is to rope. Can be a little nerve racking, but the most part makes it a lot of fun as well. Carter has been busy working with the new horse for Vegas, been picking up at the college practice pen.

When he is not there doing that, he has been doing work out at the Bar Boot Ranch and busy for M Rodeo taking care of all the bucking horses. Now on to one of the big events for us this 2016, Brandon and Brittinie will be tying the knot in March. They have both been busy planning organizing and working to get everything ready for the big event. From the sounds of it should be an awesome event. Just a good ol’Cowboy wedding with all the festivities that go with one.

One of the neatest things about rodeo is that we are all family. Being able to be part of one of your traveling partners big events in their life is awesome. We all get to share that moment with them; then we get to yell out “C’mon we are running late, time to “rodeo.”

So with all that said to start the year off, we are going to let everyone hear from each person in our group for 2016, one a month. I believe next up will be Shane Feb, and then Chance in March, April we will Brandon go so we can get the recap of the wedding.
Until next time tuck your chin and let the good times roll![/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
