Montana Set to Celebrate Spring with PBR Heat
BILLINGS, Montana – After Old Man Winter slammed Montana in the snowy deep freeze and
the Spring thaw has the community’s on her rivers struggling to keep their heads above water,
Montana is ready to get hot at the Rimrock Auto Arena at MetraPark when the PBR hits town on
April 12 through 14, for the Billings Invitational, presented by Cooper Tires.
Back in Kansas City, Chase Outlaw rode Sandman for 86 points, Smooth Over for 87.75 and
Bottom’s Up for 89 to win the event and knock Jess Lockwood out of the number one spot to
claim it as his own.
Montana’s own PBR champ, Lockwood, is still sidelined while healing from a broken collarbone
suffered at the Global Cup during a collision with Wild Goose. The frustration at missing his
home town event is 90 all the way. Look for him to be back with a vengeance once pronounced
good to ride by Dr. Tandy Freeman.
Outlaw is hot on his own comeback trail. Last summer in Cheyenne, Wyoming, at the world-famous
Cheyenne Frontier Days, a bull riding wreck left him hospitalized after surgeons had to
use eighty-four pieces of hardware to reconstruct his face. Outlaw is showing no signs of
remembering that and is riding at the top of his game on the game’s biggest playing field.
Cooper Tires partnership with PBR is a vital part of the great advantages the association
provides for contestants and bull producers/stock contractors. For fans and customers
everywhere, Cooper Tires has 21 different tires covered by tread-life warranties. American
made Cooper Tires, get some for the ride of your life.
