The Bob Feist Invitational (BFI) Team Roping Classic will take place at the San Antonio Rose Palace on Monday, June 20, 2016, at Reno Rodeo Livestock Center in Reno, Nevada. This is the most popular Monday event in the team roping sport. This will be the 39th annual Bob Feist Invitational and looks to be the best year yet for this visually stunning event. With 100 teams competing, you will be able to sit back and enjoy the show and watch the incredible talent that the rodeo has to offer.
A Brief History of the Bob Feist Invitational (BFI)
The Bob Feist Annual Invitational began 39 years ago as a way to bring attention to and highlight the unique talents and skills of team ropers. This annual event has grown and thrived, becoming one of the premier rodeo events on the American circuit. People come from all over the United States and the world to see real, live cowboys in action. This fast-paced event is considered to be one of the top Rodeo USA qualifying events and brings in hundreds of experienced ropers every year. The event also features additional rodeo activities as well as a marketplace where you can pick up a new signature belt buckle, saddle or a pair of genuine leather boots.
Bob Feist, the Legend
Bob Feist is a well-known roper, publisher, and announcer. He is recognized as a member of the Rodeo Hall of Fame, having been inducted in September 2015. Every month, Feist publishes the Ropers Sports News magazine, helping to keep rodeo participants and fans in the loop about the latest events and champions in this popular sport. Feist is a true cowboy whose passion for the rodeo has never wavered.

In addition to seeing Bob Feist on Monday, June 20, 2016, you will want to stick around throughout the entire duration of the invitational so that you can see some of the other national rodeo team roping champions. Keep your eyes open for some of this year’s great contestants, including Douglas Rich, Tyler Boatwright, Tanner Tomlinson, Nick Gonzalez III and Brenten Hall, who are ranked in the top five of team ropers as of April 2016. You can also plan on seeing some up and coming competitors in team roping, including T. J. Allen, Clay Smith, Cole Stewart and Luke Hinson, who are ranked within the top 50 team ropers.
