When you think of Chad Berger Bucking Bulls, excellence and an incredible track record comes to mind. At this year’s PBR World Finals, this reputation was proved again as Berger accepted his 5th PBR Stock Contractor of the Year award alongside his business partner, Clay Struve.
Berger and his business partners had 16 bulls compete at the 2015 PBR World Finals including:
Cooper Tires Semper Fi
Beaver Creek Beau
Modified Clyde
Cooper Tires Brown Sugar
Smooth Operator
and Apollo Stripes
Berger runs his ranch with his wife, Sarah, and his three children: Lacey, John and Sadie. Raising quality bucking bulls and buying cattle across the United States is a family affair with the Bergers. Chad’s father and brother raised cattle so it was natural that he would follow suit.
In 2006, he partnered with Joe Simon’s world-renowned bucking horses to form the Dakota Rodeo Company, which is known as one of the best rodeo producers in the PRCA.
The Berger Family has raised multiple PBR Finals bulls and NFR bulls. Most notably would be the legendary Big Tex. In 108 career outs, 433 Big Tex was only ridden 12 times – a buck off percent of 88.89% with an average bull score of 44.61 points. Pro Bull Stats names him as one of the top 10 bulls of all time. He has also owned and hauled other notable bovine including: 599 Mellow Yellow Jacket, K14 Yellow Jacket Jr., 807 Cowtown Slinger and 452 Fully Loaded. He currently has over 225 head on his ranch in Mandan, North Dakota.
In his 15 years of contracting with the PBR, he has won the prestigious Contractor of the Year award five times. Berger maintains that he couldn’t have gotten to where he is today without his family and the help of his sponsors including Cooper Tire, who have outfitted his trucks and rodeo rigs with the highest-quality and most durable tires money can buy.
The Cowboy Lifestyle Network, Ak-Chin Indian Community, and Earnhardt Auto Centers Road team covered the 2015 PBR BFTS World Finals in its entirety and wants to congratulate Chad, Sarah, and their children on this huge achievement!
