While at the Houston Rodeo, CLN had the opportunity to speak with many folks regarding their participation in the Rodeo. Â First, Ryan O’Donnell of Los Angeles, CA tells us how amazing the fans were, the attendance went from 20,000 to 600,000 in one day! Secondly, Â Both Julie Wood and Todd Hardy, Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo Staff and Committee, confirmed that 100% of funds earned at the Rodeo went to fund United States children in their education scholarships. Â Also, Julie and Todd prided themselves in stating that the Rodeo runs on 100% of volunteers!
Luchese Boots showed CLN their original Cayman Crocodile Belly Tail Cowboy Boots while Wrangler showed off their new style of jeans for women, Booty Up Jeans.  We enjoyed interviewing Clay Carter from Van, Texas about his prized livestock and Jody Sheffield of Ogden, Utah about Barrel Racing and competing in  75 to 100 Rodeos per year, within the United States.  Macy Mathis of Texas introduced us to her proud steer, Wally, who weighs in at 1,750 pounds and is only 16 months old!
The All Around World Champion, Trevor Brazile also shared that he had his kids with him at the Rodeo and they were having a blast! Â We are sure those kids are very proud of their Dad.
Binion and Chase Cervi also were generous in providing more details on their Cervi Championship Rodeo Company, which is one of the biggest stock contractors for both large and small rodeo events in the United States. Rodeo Stock Contractors provide animals for rodeo competition. They supply “rough stock.” This includes saddle and bareback bronc horses, bull riding bulls, steers for steer wrestling and team roping, plus provide calves for the calf roping events.
