Held in the Las Vegas Convention Center Dec. 5th-14th, over 700 young contestants are competing in the same rodeo events that their professional counterparts are. The competition will heat up this year as there will be an all-around prize of a new trailer by RodeoRigs.com. You can go see the champions of tomorrow by going to www.nfrexperience.com/juniorworldfinals/ for the qualifier, schedule, and producer information. Brought to you by Cactus Ropes, Cactus Gear, Cactus Saddlery, Resistol, YETI, and so many others!
The ladies of rodeo have been competing all week for their shot at Miss Rodeo America 2020. We are excited to announce that Jordan Tierney from South Dakota is your next Miss Rodeo America 2020! For more information on Miss Rodeo America and its mission, check out https://www.missrodeoamerica.com/.
Yesterday was a special day for several reasons but this is one you shouldn’t skip over. The Golden Circle of Champions was created by the Santa Maria Elks Rodeo two years ago. They invited ten other rodeo committees to be a part of it this year and they invite ten families who have a child suffering from cancer to come to the NFR. This event was made possible with the help of several endorsees, Wrangler, Resistol, Justin Boots, and of course, the Santa Maria Elks Rodeo.
Yesterday was their luncheon where rodeo contestants are paired with a child to show them the ropes of rodeo and turn them into a cowboy or cowgirl for the afternoon. Thanks to Wrangler, Resistol, Boot Barn, Justin and so many others for their contributions!
“Our goal is to bring the much needed education and awareness, locally and nationally, to pediatric cancer and offer a ray of hope to the families that are navigating through this journey. They desperately need our help as a community, and we want to let them know we are here for them,” stated Founder, Tina Tonascia. “It is our job to tell their story about pediatric cancer, in the hopes that one day we will be able to make a difference.”
Dec. 5th-14th live at 2pm daily, the Tropicana will host the Bullfighters Only Championship. The world’s top freestyle bullfighter face off with the best bulls out there. Only one athlete can be crowned the 2019 BFO World Champion and claim his share of over $150,000 in prize money. Tickets available at troplv.com/entertainment/rodeo-week
The party doesn’t stop after the rodeo ends. The MGM Grand Gold Buckle Zone offers free live music and viewing parties every night. The Buckin’ Bash hosted by Justin Rumford also hosts a free party over at The Orleans starting at 9 p.m. But something you need to see at least once is an NFR buckle presentation. Every night you can go see the champions get their winning round buckles and then stay for the free concert at South Point Hotel.
One of our featured Cowboy Lifestyle partners is out about covering several different concerts while we are here. Make sure to check out Branded Media and Promotions for real-time updates on concerts and entertainment going on around town during Wrangler National Finals Rodeo. Mitch with Branded media had the chance to cover the Riley Green concert at the Mirage last night and here’s what he had to say,
As always, the Mirage was the place to be for the best free NFR After Party. Riley Green took the stage and the Alabama native did not disappoint. His traditional country roots event impressed the legendary, Randy Travis who attended the show. – Mith Blunn
It wouldn’t be the WNFR 2019 without a trip to Cowboy Christmas. The Las Vegas Convention Center will host the grand scale shopping event again this year. With over 300 exhibitors the shopping and entertainment options have something for everyone. Cowboy Christmas is free admission and open all ten days from 9 a.m to 5 p.m. You can stop in for some food and drinks at the Coors Rodeo Saloon or get an autograph from your favorite athlete. Some of our favorites are Wrangler, Resistol, Rural Cloth, Total Feeds, Nutrena (upstairs), Boot Barn and so many others. For more information go to nfrexperience.com/cowboychristmas/.
Congratulations to all of the Round Winners for the fourth night of the WNFR 2019!
Orin won the round with a score of 90 on Frontier Rodeo’s, Night Fist. With this Round win, Orin is sitting number two in the world with only Clayton Biglow between him and the number one spot.
With his first-round win, Bridger is sitting number five in the World standings. Thanks to Resistol for supporting his win!
This is Chad and Joseph’s first round win so far at the NFR which puts them at both in the 3rd spot in the World standings.
This is Shane’s second-round win, putting him in the number one spot in the World Standings. Can he make a third win tonight during performance five?
With a score of 89.5 on Diamond G Rodeo’s horse, Miss Nancy. This is Rusty’s first round win putting him in the third spot in the World Standings. Congrats to his sponsors, Wrangler, Resistol, and YETI!
Coming back from second place on the third night, Emily once again took a number one win for round four. It looks like a true race between Emily and Amberleigh for the number spot. Amberleigh came in second last night, not making the round wins easy to grab. Can’t wait for tonight’s perf!
Stetson was able to snag a 91 on Holy Holly by Painted Pony Championship Rodeo. This win put Stetson number two in the overall with the king, Sage Kimzey still sitting in the number one spot. Proudly supported by Wrangler, Resistol, and YETI.
A huge congratulations to all the winners from last night’s performance, we can’t wait to see what everyone brings to the table for night number five at the WNFR 2019. See y’all there!
