CLN on Scene: WNFR Day Three Review


We are about halfway through our time here in the city of Las Vegas is in full WNFR mode. Nowhere else in the country can the rodeo community come together in one place and celebrate our western heritage and lifestyle. The third performance of the Wrangler National Finals Rodeo in Las Vegas, Nevada has come and gone and it is only just the beginning. Cowboy Lifestyle Network is excited to be able to give you the full day in review including the Round Winners for each performance, daily entertainment, and places you need to check out. Events Around Town

Junior World Finals

The Junior World Finals, presented by YETI, will be held in the Las Vegas Convention Center Dec. 5th-14th. Over 700 young contestants are competing in the same rodeo events that their professional counterparts are. The competition will heat up this year as there will be an all-around prize of a new trailer by RodeoRigs.com. World Series Team Roping

The World Series of Team Roping, presented by Ariat, produces the largest team roping event in the world. Not only has the finale become the richest event in roping, but it has also been acknowledged as the second richest equestrian related event in the world. Catch the action Dec. 7th-15th at the South Point Arena.

Bullfighters Only Las Vegas Championship

Dec. 5th-14th live at 2pm daily, the Tropicana will host the Bullfighters Only Championship. The world’s top freestyle bullfighter face off with the best bulls out there. Only one athlete can be crowned the 2019 BFO World Champion and claim his share of over $150,000 in prize money. Tickets available atย troplv.com/entertainment/rodeo-week

NFR After Party

The party doesn’t stop after the rodeo ends. The MGM Grand Gold Buckle Zone offers free live music and viewing parties every night. The Buckin’ Bash hosted by Justin Rumford also hosts a free party over at The Orleans starting at 9 p.m. But something you need to see at least once is an NFR buckle presentation. Every night you can go see the champions get their winning round buckles and then stay for the free concert at South Point Hotel.

Cowboy Christmas

It wouldn’t be the WNFR without a trip to Cowboy Christmas. The Las Vegas Convention Center will host the grand scale shopping event again this year. With over 300 exhibitors the shopping and entertainment options have something for everyone. Cowboy Christmas is free admission and open all ten days from 9 a.m to 5 p.m. You can stop in for some food and drinks at the Coors Rodeo Saloon or get an autograph from your favorite athlete. WNFR Round 3 Winners

Congratulations to all of the Round Winners for the third night of the Wrangler National Finals Rodeo!

Bareback Riding: Tanner Aus

With a score of 90 on Frontier Rodeo’s, Full Baggage.

Steer Wrestling: Hunter Cure

With his first round win, Hunter is sitting number two in the Overall standings.

Team Roping: Tyler Wade & Cole Davison

This is Tyler and Cole’s second round win so far at the NFR which puts them at 4th and 6th in the overall standings. Not too shabby!

Tie-Down Roping: Tuf Cooper

With this last round win, Tuf is sitting sixth in the overall tie-down and number three in the all-around.

Saddle Bronc: Chase Brooks

With a score of 90 on Outlawbuckers’ horse, Lunatic Party. Chase is currently sitting number five in the overall with Zeke Thurston sitting in the number one position.

Barrel Racing: Amberleigh Moore

This was a tough night for Emily Miller, Round 1 winner because her time was 13.63 and Amberleigh’s was 13.62. This goes to show how tight the competition is.

Bull Riding: Koby Radley

With only three rides last night, Koby was able to snag a 92 on Spotted Demon by Big Stone Rodeo Inc. This win put Koby eighth in the overall with the king, Sage Kimzey sitting in the number one spot.

A huge congratulations to all the winners from last night’s performance, we can’t wait to see what everyone brings to the table for night number four at the WNFR. See y’all there!
