Adding to the excitement this year, professional bullfighters will test their agility against some of the strongest animal athletes in the business during each day’s bull riding round. High-energy tricks, flips and close calls will unfold as the seasoned competitors display courage, athleticism and the skill to stay just arms-length away from their charging bovine opponents.

Never one to overlook the next generation climbing the ranks in the sport, including his own sons, Nance’s event will feature an added element of fun for the whole family, as local youth compete in a mutton busting competition with trophies and bragging rights on the line.

Now adding producing his own live events to his many talents, Nance is committed to creating the same energy in the arena that he has enjoyed from the chutes over the years.

“This is going to be an event not to be missed,” said Nance. “Rodeo fans have always enjoyed the intense action of bull riding, but this event combines that with the talent and skill of professional bull fighting as well as mutton busting for the kids. I’m thrilled to be able to create and produce such a high-energy, family-fun event right here in my hometown.”

Both nights will feature a long round where all 25 bull riders will attempt one bull followed by a short round where the top riders from earlier in the night will attempt a second bull to increase their score to win. Winners of each night will be presented with the Cody Nance Invitational, Cooper Tires Bull Riding Challenge buckle, created by Montana Silversmiths.
