With the mission to promote Amarillo the cowboy way, The Coors Cowboy Club was formed in 2000. There are currently 100 active members with most residing in Amarillo and the Texas Panhandle, and some coming from all different parts of the country. As a 501 ©(4) charity the group was formed to gather volunteers to help with numerous functions throughout the community. With the awareness they have raised within the area, they are now drawing in many competitors, holding shows for various events including the NCHA, United States Team Penning Association, and the Cowboy Mounted Shooters, as well as volunteering their time to different charities within the community.

Previously named the Coors Ranch Rodeo, the Coors Cowboy Club Ranch Rodeo was the event that kicked off summer from 1987-2007. The Ranch Rodeo is their biggest fundraiser of the year. It is an annual event serving tribute to the West Texas Heritage. Their hopes are to promote the western way of life by featuring rodeo with competitors from real working ranches from the Panhandle area and New Mexico. This is what truly makes this ranch rodeo stand out. They are promoting and showcasing the events that cowboys would do daily on a working ranch. Not just anyone can join to be a part of this rodeo. The Coors Cowboy Club board actually reviews each ranch for things such as ensuring it is a real working ranch and its historical significance.
