Roots N’ Boots Cowboy Christmas and NFR Viewing Party 2023

Come December, rodeo fans around the world will be abuzz with excitement as the Wrangler National Finals Rodeo returns to glittering Las Vegas; entertaining us all with show-stopping action in the arena, social events, and music to fill the night, and enough shopping to warrant an extra suitcase purchase for the trip home! 

Taking Las Vegas by storm each year, the NFR and Official Cowboy Channel Cowboy Christmas gift show garner over a hundred thousand rodeo fans and holiday shoppers. Since 1986, the official Cowboy Christmas gift show has provided rodeo fans with the perfect opportunity to get their last-minute holiday shopping done.

But what if you didn’t have to make the trip to Sin City to get a taste of the action? Arizona rodeo fans, we have your NFR and Cowboy Christmas dreams covered! Experience the thrill in your own backyard at the Second Annual Roots N’ Boots Queen Creek Cowboy Christmas and NFR Viewing Party at Horseshoe Park & Equestrian Centre! 

In addition to the myriad of impressive events hosted at Horseshoe Park and Equestrian Centre each year, Friends of Horseshoe Park, a Queen Creek 501(c)3 non-profit organization, is proud to celebrate year two of highly anticipated, home-grown, Cowboy Christmas fun and rodeo action. What does the event entail? Let’s dive in!

Last year’s inaugural event boasted an impressive 140+ vendors, welcoming an audience of over 3,000 shoppers as they explored booths across the venue’s 45,000 sqft. arena floor. From food and beverage vendors, handcrafted goods from local artisans, boutique and household items, and of course, what would the WNFR season be without the best-of-the-best in western fashion! This year’s holiday shoppers are sure to find the perfect goodies for Santa to leave under the Christmas tree. 

However, if shopping isn’t quite your thing, don’t worry! Roots N’ Boots, in conjunction with The Cowboy Channel, will be live-streaming the final two performances of the Wrangler Nationals Final Rodeo straight from the Thomas & Mack Center!

No need to schedule a babysitter! Roots N’ Boots Queen Creek also has some holiday fun planned for the kiddos in the family. Rumor has it Santa Claus will be making a special appearance each day as part of the event’s Santa Workshop.

Taryn Cantrell is an Arizona native who has spent many hours in the rodeo arena. Having grown up barrel racing, serving as the 2017 Gilbert Days Rodeo Queen and as a member of the Cowgirls Historical Foundation, Taryn is passionate about her western heritage and all things rodeo. When she’s not on horseback, Taryn can be found playing her bass guitar, painting, and performing around Phoenix with her band. Taryn is a graduate of Arizona State University with her Bachelor's Degree in Vocal Performance. Taryn is proud to combine her love of the arts with her love of rodeo and has been honored to sing The National Anthem at various rodeos across the beautiful state of Arizona. Alongside her love for art and music, preserving her western heritage and promoting the sport of rodeo are just two of Taryn’s many passions.
