Come one, come all for the Dixie National Livestock Show and Rodeo, from January 7th – February 19th, 2023 in Jackson, Mississippi! If there’s one thing you can count on for this year so far is that there will be a rodeo and livestock show in Jackson! With over a month and a half of events ranging from a cutting show to livestock shows and rodeo, there is something for the whole family. Check out all the information below to plan your trip!
Livestock Shows
The livestock show kicks off on January 29th with a lamb and sheep show and goes through February 19th. Through those couple of weeks, you can find exhibitors presenting their hard work through various species, including cattle, hogs, goats, sheep, chickens, and even turkeys almost every day of the event. You can also enjoy the Mississippi Ag & Outdoor show on the finals days, February 17th – 19th. You can find the full schedule of events in their 2023 event guide.
Rodeo & Entertainment
The rodeo is an obvious draw to this buzz-worthy event. The rodeo includes 7 PRCA performances followed by entertainment and special rodeo performances on specific nights. Each action-packed PRCA Rodeo kicks off with the patriotic Grand Entry and features bareback riding, steer wrestling, team roping, breakaway roping, saddle bronc riding, tie-down roping, barrel racing, and bull riding.

Tickets
Tickets can be purchased at the Coliseum Ticket Office or online at Ticketmaster.com. Buy tickets in advance for the best deal. Additional fees may apply for the day of the show. For more information on the event, check out their website. Don’t forget to save the date for the Dixie National Parade, which will make its way through downtown Jackson on February 11. This year’s theme is ‘Trailing through the Decades.’ This fan favorite will feature an array of rodeo queens, marching groups, floats, car and tractor clubs, riding groups, dignitaries, the famous Dixie National Wagon Train, and much more.
