Earnhardt, ABC15 co-sponsor 2nd Chance Sports Drive for Boys & Girls Clubs

Written by

Do you have extra sports gear in your garage or closets that you don’t use or need anymore? Bring it over to any Earnhardt Auto Centers location for the 2nd Chance Sports Gear Drive!

Earnhardt teams with ABC15 Arizona to collect new or gently used sports gear to benefit the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Valley. Now through February 28, you can donate volleyballs, soccer balls, shin guards, basketballs, baseballs, gloves, bags and more at any of the 17 Earnhardt dealership locations in the Valley.

Boys & Girls Clubs of the Valley is committed to providing accessible, affordable youth sports programs for youth and teens. More than 25 Boys & Girls Clubs locations in the Valley offer recreational leagues for club members age 5-13. Recreational youth sports programs offer structured, safe, positive opportunities for skill development, character-building and life-long appreciation for healthy living.

Go online to locate the Earnhardt location closest to you for convenient drop-off of your gear. You can also make a financial donation of any amount at this site. A one-time gift of $20 sponsors one child for league soccer, up to a $150 donation to sponsor one team for a season. You can also make a recurring donation to provide monthly support to kids.

Visit the Boys & Girls Club of Arizona website for more information about their programs.

Earnhardt Auto Centers represents 15 brands at 17 dealerships throughout the Valley. Founder Tex Earnhardt started the company in 1951 with a Chandler-based Ford franchise. At age 21, he was the youngest-ever Ford franchise owner. Over the years, the company expanded and opened more dealerships, with Tex at the head. Tex’s straight-shooting style and famous catchphrase, “That ain’t no bull,” endeared him to generations of Arizonans. Earnhardt Auto Centers also has a long history of supporting local causes and organizations.

Thank you for your generosity and support for the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Valley!
