Everything You Need to Know About YETI

If you’re an avid outdoors enthusiast or someone who appreciates quality coolers then YETI is a household name. For those of you who may not have heard of YETI or haven’t checked them out, this is your opportunity to learn the in’s and out’s of this company.

About YETI

YETI was started in 2006 with the simple mission of creating top of the line coolers that can hold up for everyday use. A cooler that won’t quit on you during a pack trip, wrangling cattle, sea fishing, hiking, riding, or drinking on the patio. Whatever your sport of choice, YETI was built for it all. Having started with just a cooler, the company has expanded its product line to include items such as drinkware, outdoor gear, soft & hard coolers, apparel, and much more. All of their products are made from necessity and first-hand experience, you won’t find anything that hasn’t been tried and tested in less than ideal circumstances. Not to mention, most of all your favorite products can be customized to your liking.

YETI Ambassadors

It isn’t uncommon to head out to your favorite rodeo, roping, or bull riding and see several contestants with the iconic “YETI” patch on their shirt or jacket. YETI doesn’t just have ranch and rodeo ambassadors, they pride themselves on having ambassadors from all walks of life including hunting, fishing, general outdoors, and food and beverage. These ambassadors support the message that there isn’t just a single use for your YETI products, they can be used in the most extreme conditions or just for everyday use. Some names you might recognize that are proud to be YETI ambassadors are Jess Lockwood, Hailey Kinsel, Stetson Wright, Cody Wright, Rusty Wright, Ryder Wright, Cooper Davis, JB Mauney, Luke Branquinho, Richmond Champion, and so many more. You can check out the full list of ambassadors by heading to their website.

Conservation and Preservation

Not only does YETI promote their “Built for the Wild” products, but they also promote preserving the wild we have left. They have partnered with several organizations to ensure that the outdoors we know today, will be the same for generations to come. Their latest venture to aid in this mission was their YETI Film Tour Drive-In Edition. The goal was to have the tour in the spring, but due to global events, it was postponed to the fall. The mission was to feature stories that were inspired in the wild and all the proceeds for this event went back to preserving the wild. There are seven films that embody the definition of human grit and determination. The tour started in September and the last show is dated for October 22, 2020, in Austin, Texas.

YETI Stories & Short Films

Personally, one of my favorite things about YETI is their way of story-telling. There are stories that are all around us, but YETI takes it to another level. They have a way of capturing the true character and essence of their featured guests. Their short films will move you and the stories will leave you wanting more. Once again, it isn’t just about the products for YETI, it’s about embracing every aspect of life and capturing it to the fullest. Both their stories and videography do that, so if you haven’t checked out their short films, you absolutely need to. One of my favorites is below if you want a recommendation on where to start.
