June to September 2024
Laramie County Fair Rodeo Arena
3801 Archer Pkwy, Cheyenne, Wyoming 82009
Like all cities, Cheyenne has seen its fair share of changes over the years, however, one element has remained a staple in the hearts of those who call Cheyenne home, a love of the wild west and its unmatchable sport, rodeo.
While the concept of rodeo remains the same wherever you go, Cheyenne is switching things up at the 2024 Hell on Wheels Rodeo and Chuck Wagon Dinner presented by Visit Cheyenne. Unique in their approach, Hell on Wheels presents an open rodeo format where anyone from the weekend warrior to the seasoned professional can pay the entry fee and compete in any of the 9 rodeo events.
Approaching season number 5, Hell on Wheels features all your rough stock favorites as well as timed events to keep you on the edge of your seat. With performances spanning from June 7th to September 6th, there will be plenty of chances to catch the action! After each of the 5, 90-minute performances, the Hell on Wheels series will culminate with a final championship round on September 6th where the highest money earner in each event will be awarded a championship buckle. Contestants who show their rodeo prowess in two or more events will be added to the running for the All-Around Championship Saddle. With over $69,500 in payouts last year alone, the stakes are high for the 2024 Hell on Wheels Rodeo!
