Toyotas are known for stylish longevity, and they’ve also made their mark within the hybrid market. Find a full slate of Toyota choices at any Earnhardt Auto Centers dealership, especially Earnhardt Toyota in Mesa.
A total of five Toyota models achieved a spot in the top-10 of the US News and World Report’s list of 18 Best Hybrid and Electric Cars. The 2019 Avalon and the 2019 Camry occupy the top two spots on this list, tied for #1.

The 2019 Avalon takes the top rank for larger hybrid cars. Toyota remodeled the 2019 Avalon Hybrid, giving it an extra 15 horsepower and about 3 more miles per gallon than the previous year, according to US News and World Report. Toyota also moved the battery pack under the rear seat, providing more trunk space than in previous models. For those looking for a larger-sized hybrid car, the Avalon provides a worthy option. According to the rankings, the 2019 Avalon “gets dynamite fuel economy by large car standards while delivering a smooth ride and capable handling.”
The 2019 Camry ranks #1 for mid-size cars. Notable features include a “lively powertrain” and superb fuel economy, according to US News and World Report. The Camry offers a comfortable, quiet cabin and ample trunk size for a hybrid. The article also notes the 2019 Camry Hybrid has “very impressive” EPA-estimated gas mileage.

In addition to these favorite Toyota models, three Prius models made the list. These include the 2018 Prius, 2018 Prius Prime and 2019 Prius C. Fuel economy, available space and safety features are among the qualities that earned accolades for these different Prius models.
When you’re ready to start your search for a hybrid vehicle, Toyota or otherwise, stop by any Earnhardt Auto Centers dealership to take a test drive. You can also start your shopping online with a section specific to hybrid car searches.
