Expected to roll out in late 2021, the Jeep Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer will be all-new, but many of the features have been kept under wraps. Jeep has confirmed that hybrid models will be available for both.

The 2021 Jeep Wagoneer will be based on the Ram 1500 (DT) architecture, according to a review by Mopar Insiders. Also, the Jeep Wagoneer will have an independent rear suspension design with a comfortable ride.

The Wagoneer will feature a standard shorter wheelbase model similar to that of a Tahoe, Yukon, Escalade, Expedition or Navigator, says the review. The Grand Wagoneer will have a longer wheelbase more like a Suburban, Yukon XL, Escalade ESV, Expedition Max or Navigator L.

Both Wagoneer models will feature different powertrain choices. These are likely to include the 5.7-liter HEMI V8 and also the 6.4-liter HEMI V8 with 410 horsepower and 429 lb-ft of torque. The Wagoneer will feature ZF-sourced 8-speed automatics across the board, says Mopar Insiders.

Outside, expect a look similar to a Jeep Grand Cherokee, with different trim levels starting with budget friendly to premium.

Inside, both Wagoneer models will offer similar technology from the Ram 1500, according to Mopar Insiders. These include adaptive cruise control, ParkSense Parallel and Perpendicular Park-Assist, LaneSense and a Surround view camera system. A 12-inch screen should be available on some models too. Reviewers have also learned that both models will feature three rows of seats.
