4th of July Celebration at the Navajo Nation Fair & Rodeo!

4th of July is right around the corner! What does that mean for the rodeo fans in Window Rock, AZ? It means that it’s time for some of the most exciting rodeo action in the Southwest to come to their town. The 2019 Navajo Nation 4th of July Celebration and PRCA Rodeo is scheduled from July 3rd-6th and is sure to be one of their best events yet.

Not only is this a great way for fans to see some of the world’s best rodeo competitors showcasing their skills, but it’s also the perfect opportunity to learn more about the Navajo Nation and help many local charities along the way.  There is something for everyone at this event! Rodeo Information

As always, the 2019 Navajo Nation 4th of July Celebration and Rodeo will be filled with plenty of great events for cowboys and cowgirls. There are 8 classic events that will be showcased: bareback riding, steer wrestling, bull riding, team roping, calf roping, barrel racing, breakaway, and saddle bronc. On top of those events in the PRCA Rodeo, there are several other events going on such as an Indian Fry Bread-Eating Competition, Mud Bog Racing, Traditional Native Dance performances, and so much more! You will have to see it to believe it! Everybody will be on the edge of their seats from start to finish.  No matter which event is the favorite of fans, there’s no doubt this PRCA rodeo is sure to set the stage for a fantastic Fourth of July.

The Navajo Nation

While it may have started off more than thirty years ago as a small rodeo, this PRCA rodeo has quickly grown into one of the most popular in the United States.  In a setting like Window Rock, Arizona it is easy to immerse yourself in the Navajo Culture and really take in what they have to offer. With several exhibitions going on, there is an opportunity to experience this culture like no other. And for a lot of us, this experience is right out our back door. It is a perfect showcase for the rich history of the Navajo Nation, this event never fails to deliver plenty of thrills and spills to its fans each year. So what are you waiting for? Pack your bags and let’s head to the Navajo Nation Fair!
