La Fiesta de los Vaqueros Tucson Rodeo 2024

Tucson, Arizona – The La Fiesta de los Vaqueros Tucson Rodeo has been a staple of the Tucson community since 1925, and it’s one of the oldest continuous rodeos in the United States. Each year, thousands of fans flock to the Tucson Rodeo grounds to take part in one of the most exciting events in the Southwest. This extreme event is kicking off on February 17-25, 2024. Details

In addition to the rodeo, make sure you save time for the Tucson Rodeo Parade on February 22nd. During the week, there will be several events and activities, including a parade, junior rodeo, mutton busting, and live music performances. The Tucson Rodeo is a family-friendly event that celebrates the spirit of the Southwest and it is a chance for the community to come together and for visitors to experience a piece of the wild west.

Rich History

During the rodeo, PRCA cowboys and cowgirls from all over the country will compete in several events, including bull riding, calf roping, team roping, bronc riding, barrel racing, and more for a chance to win money on the road to the National Finals Rodeo. The Tucson Rodeo has a long and rich history starting in 1925 by a gentleman by the name of Leighton Kramer. He had to idea to take advantage of the Arizona weather by having a rodeo. Through the years, the event has grown and become an iconic Tucson tradition. Thousands of spectators come to the rodeo each year to watch the cowboys and cowgirls show off their skills over the course of nine days of competition.

Coors Barn Dance

Don’t forget about the Coors Barn Dance, taking place after the last Bull bucks every rodeo day at the Tucson Rodeo! Admission is only $5.00 and you can purchase tickets online or at the door.

Explore Tucson

While in town for the rodeo, visitors can also expect to do some sightseeing between performances. Tucson is home to the Catalina Highway which makes you feel like you vacationed around the country within a 30-mile drive! While driving the scenery changes before your eyes, starting with cacti in the dry desert to reaching the snow-dusted town of Summerhaven. There you can catch a ski lift and hang out on the beautiful snowy mountain top!
