2017-ford-f-150-limitedOverall, Ford has sold more than 1 million EcoBoost F-150 trucks in the United States since 2011. The F-150 is part of Ford’s F-series of trucks, the highest-selling vehicles in the country for almost 40 years, according to the Ford Motor Company.

The 2017 Ford F-150 now offers increased fuel economy of up to 2 miles per gallon due to manufacturer advancements, according to the Ford Motor Company website. The F-150’s new 3.5-liter EcoBoost engine, paired exclusively with the first volume-production 10-speed automatic transmission, shows improvement in all three EPA fuel economy label estimates – city, highway, and combined ratings.

The 2017 F-150’s EPA-estimated fuel economy increased in all three categories by 1 mile per gallon, with the combined efficiency rating for the 2017 F-150 4×4 improving by up to 2 miles per gallon.

The F-150 is the only truck in its segment to offer a twin-turbocharged gas engine. The all-new 3.5-liter EcoBoost engine builds on the previously used 2.7-liter EcoBoost and the first-generation 3.5-liter EcoBoost. With more than 1 million Ford EcoBoost-equipped trucks on the road, the Ford Motor Company projects that F-150 owners will save more than 110 million gallons of gas overall in the next year.

Also, the 2017 F-150 boasts improved acceleration, performance, and refinement from the combination of the EcoBoost engine and 10-speed automatic transmission. This development provides better performance, ideal for hauling heavy loads, and towing trailers.

For drivers seeking even more features, the all-new F-150 Raptor SuperCrew adds agility, versatility and roominess, including four full-size doors and more legroom for rear passengers.
